Scott Haugenes, Head of Brand Sales, Generate
An experienced entertainment sales and marketing executive across both digital and television, Scott Haugenes oversees Generate's integrated sales efforts.
Based in New York, Scott previously was Senior Vice President, Media and Marketing Partnerships, for Ripe Digital Entertainment. Scott was responsible for activating relationships between major advertisers while striking large partnership deals with marketers like Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, ABC and MGM. His creative abilities made it possible to create programming that aired on the Ripe Networks as well as upcoming theatrical DVD releases.
Prior to joining Ripe Digital Entertainment, Scott served as Senior Vice President, Co-Director, National Broadcast for Initiative Media Worldwide, Scott co-managed the company's network buying division, and was responsible for a portion of Initiative's New York buying group and the national buying team in Los Angeles. He oversaw national broadcast buying for key clients like The Home Depot, Merck, Quiznos, Lionsgate, CBS, Showtime, Victoria's Secret and KAO Brands. He was also a key member of Initiative's new business team that brought in seven new accounts with over one billion dollars in billings. He was also a member of the Executive Council of Interpublic's MAGNA Global USA, one of the world's largest broadcast media negotiation units.
Prior to joining Initiative, Scott served as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing for the ABC Family Channel. In that role he managed the national sales offices, a position that enabled him to travel the country extensively, working with leading marketers and the Disney executive team.
Prior to the ABC Family Channel, Scott was Vice President of AOL Time Warner Global Marketing Solutions, where he formed successful cross-platform marketing alliances with Fortune 100 companies. He also managed the group's West Coast division. Before that, Scott spent seven years with The WB Television Network, rising to the position of Vice President, Western Sales. He was part of The WB network's launch team and created the West Coast sales office, growing its billings from $5 million to $50 million in three years. Scott started his career at Ogilvy & Mather and Grey Advertising, where he worked on key entertainment and automotive accounts.
